DESCRIPTION:UEF’s popular presentations on Applications of Photonics will be again held this year as a series of hybrid lectures live in Joensuu & online in Microsoft Teams. DESCRIPTION:7.-11. November 2022 starting with the official opening of Joensuu Photonics Center\, the week’s programme consists of top presentations and case examples from industry and research as well as workshops and networking events. The events will take place at Photonics Center or in the Futura building on the UEF campus nearby. \n\n\n\nMon 7. November: Photonics Center opening day  \n\n\n\nThe grand opening of Joensuu Photonics Center for guests and media consists of high level speakers and presentations followed by a course in the Application of Photonics as well as a conference programme for industry professionals. \n\n\n\nTue 8. November: Seminar on Metrology for XR & Freeform Optics  \n\n\n\nThe purpose is to present the know-how and possibilities in metrology for XR and freeform optics in Finland. In addition\, manufacturing and especially the needs for XR and freeform optics metrology are presented. This full day seminar is free but registration is needed. The seminar takes place in Futura (F100) – UEF Campus (nearby Photonics Center). Read more about the event and registration here. \n\n\n\nWed 9.- Thur 10. November: Forest & Photonics 2022 \n\n\n\nForest & Photonics is a unique professional two-day event that brings together the forest and technology experts to network\, collaborate and share their experiences\, challenges and solutions. Forest & Photonics takes place in Futura (F100) – UEF Campus (nearby Photonics Center). The event is organized in collaboration with Business Joensuu\, Photonics Finland and the three flagships: PREIN\, FinnCERES and UNITE. Read more and register here. \n\n\n\nFri 11. November: Open House at the Photonics Center \n\n\n\nFriday’s programme consists of public lectures and presentations as well as workshops for example in Hyperspectral image acquisition.
