DESCRIPTION:Registration to 12th Markus Pessa International Summer School on “New Frontiers in Optical Technologies\,” which will be held from August 11–15\, 2025\, at Tampere University\, Finland is open.  Founded in 2001\, the Summer School has become a leading educational event in the field of modern optical technologies\, attracting over 120 participants each edition. Since 2023\, the School has been dedicated to the memory of Professor Markus Pessa\, founder of the Optoelectronics Research Centre in Tampere\, honoring his profound contributions to the optics and photonics community. \n\n\n\nThis year’s program will delve into cutting-edge topics including: \n\n\n\n\nAdvanced laser technologies\n\n\n\nQuantum optics and quantum technology\n\n\n\nOptical systems and sensing\n\n\n\nFiber technology\n\n\n\nPhotonic integration\n\n\n\nEntrepreneurship in photonics\n\n\n\nEthics in science\n\n\n\n\nDetailed information and registration are available on the Summer School website.
