PhD Student in Optical Spectroscopy of 2D Materials

Full Time Cologne, Germany University of Cologne

The Nano Optics Group at the University of Cologne has an opening for a PhD candidate to work on the optical spectroscopy of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs), a novel form of nanostructured graphene, and other two-dimensional (2D) materials. The goal of the project is to study fundamental optical and optoelectronic processes and properties and to explore the application of these materials in nanoscale optoelectronic devices. More information about the activities of the work group can be found at https://nano-optics.uni-koeln. de. The project is associated with the DFG graduate program TIDE (https://tide.uni-koeln.de).
