The successful applicant will play a key role in advancing one or more of the following research directions: high harmonic generation in nanostructured solids with key applications in extreme ultraviolet light sources, nanoscale optical isolators for chip-scale logic, nanoresonators for single-photon sources, and entangled two-photon absorption for quantum photochemistry with applications in photodynamic therapy.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to:<\/p>\n<p>Contribute to research at the forefront of nanophotonics. <br \/>Work with state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities, advanced optical laboratories, and high-performance computing infrastructure. <br \/>Receive mentorship tailored to your career goals, including opportunities for supervision, grant applications, teaching, and industry engagement.<br \/>We are seeking a highly motivated\u00a0postdoctoral researcher\u00a0with a strong background in optics, photonics or a closely related field. The successful candidate will demonstrate:<\/p>\n<p>A PhD in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a doctoral thesis submitted for examination.<br \/>Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: cleanroom nanofabrication, optical measurement techniques, or computational design of nanophotonic components.<br \/>A proven ability to conduct original research independently, evidenced by scholarly outputs such as peer\u2011reviewed publications.<br \/>Potential to develop innovative research ideas and translate them into competitive funding applications, including individual fellowships.<br \/>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior researchers and contribute to productive collaborations.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We offer<\/p>\n<p>The full-time position will be filled for a fixed-term period of two (2) years, starting upon mutual agreement. A trial period of six (6) months applies to all our new employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The salary will be based on\u00a0the University Salary System. The salary of a postdoctoral researcher is at levels 5-6. In addition to the basic salary, a supplementary portion of the salary will be paid based on the appointee\u2019s qualifications and experience.
