Corning Scientific Center in Helsinki offers unique opportunity for summer internship (June-August 2026). We are looking for a student currently enrolled in a Finnish university or a fresh graduate (2026) to work on design of dielectric metasurfaces for optical communication systems. A candidate should understand basics of optics (geometrical optics, Fourier optics, wave propagation), be proficient in Python for scientific computing, understand optimization techniques and machine learning. Also, it is highly desirable to have experience with electromagnetic simulation tools, such as Lumerical/ANSYS. Students must apply through our recruiting partner Baron IT Talent.
