OPD Exhibition 29-30 May 2024

OPD Exhibition takes place during OPD on 29th – 30th May (OPD starts on 28th May). It provides a great opportunity to reach the whole photonics community in Finland, from Industry to Academia. Also it is a great place to meet new talents for your recruiting needs. Please find all information regarding the OPD Exhibition from this page.

OPD Exhibition will be located in the main lobby of Scandic Marina Congress Center – See floor map / table placements HERE.

Exhibition Early Bird fee is 1900 EUR (+VAT24%) / Regular 2000 EUR, and for Photonics Finland corporate members Early Bird fee is 900 EUR (+VAT 24%) / Regular 1000โ‚ฌ (+VAT 24%). To apply for Photonics Finland membership, please visit here). 

Exhibition Fee includes a table with table cloth, 2 chairs, and basic electricity (for charging your laptop, and phone) in the exhibitor area, full conference program (lectures, lunches, coffee, dinner) for a single person. Exhibitors has an exclusive opportunity to add special priced additional persons to their registration, the additional person fee is equal to the regular attendee fee.

Exhibition Area

Exhibition table places are numbered from 1 – 45, and selected in order of the registration (after Gold and Silver sponsors). Exhibition space: 2x2m / 4m2; a table: 70x140cm with tablecloth and 2 chairs; Included services: Electricity bar for charging your phone and laptop. Additionally priced extra services (Extra electricity, TV-screens, refreshments) available through online booking system HERE.

Exhibitors can bring their own roll-ups, or other exhibition setups i.e. expo- or flyer stands etc. Please notice that your setups should be inside the area of 2m (max width). In case of the wider setups (i.e. expolinc walls) we will do our best to fit them all but please pay attention of the exhibitors next to your table. Also please notice that exhibitor is responsible for their set-ups. So in case it gets too crowded โ€“ Have a plan B ready.

Exhibitors Move in schedule

Exhibitors can Move in on Tuesday 28th May starting at 10.00AM until 8.00PM. The venue organizer will set up the tables and electricity ready. For shipments – See the information and schedule below.

Exhibitors pitch

All exhibitors have possibility to promote their company in exhibitors pitch session. Exhibitors will be shared in session 1 or 2 based on the registration order and this will be informed closer to the event.

  • Only 1 minute / max 2 slides (no slide-animations) presentations. So basically โ€Elevator Pitchโ€ logic.
  • Please send your slides to tuukka.pakarinen@photonics.fi as a powerpoint (ppt) 16:9 format (1920×1080). Deadline is 21st May 2024.

On Thursday 30th May during 9.00 and until 14.00 OPD Exhibition (1st floor lobby area only) is open free of charge for visitors, but the pre-registration is needed. You may register as a visitor HERE.

Logistics (Shipments Move in – Move out)

Logistics – Exhibitor shipments move in OPD2024 / Scandic Marina Congress Center
(PLEASE NOTICE: SHIPMENTS CAN BE RECEIVED ONLY at 27th and 28th May 2024)

Shipments to be delivered to OPD2024 venue:

  • Monday 27th of May at 15:00 – 21:00
  • Tuesday 28th of May at 08:00 – 19:00

For any deliveries (or dropping stuff by yourself) you can drive to the Scandic Congress Center parking lot, its next to the loading dock (see in the hall map “Goods”), or try to find the parking space closest to the main doors. If using the parking lot, please inform the Scandic Congress Center staff, so they can open loading dock door for you.

For customs documentation: Shipments coming from abroad, to ensure smooth process in customs, remember that sender and receiver needs to be client itself (not Scandic Congress Center).

(PLEASE NOTICE: ALL SHIPMENTS NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP 30th May 2024, 18.00 at the latest! Extra hours will be charged 220โ‚ฌ / hour)

Please leave your shipments to the exhibition storage (see the Exhibition map Here – storage is located next to table places 38 & 39) either on a pallet or something with wheels on them. If you need to leave behind something very large, please negotiate about it beforehand with the venue team. Venue team is available to help coordinate the pick ups on 30th May, until 18.00.

  • Parcels needs to be fully packed with shipping labels ready. You may print labels from the OPD registration / info desk. Please add Information of the company that will pick you your parcel(s) and pick up date / time + your contact card.
  • All pick ups needs to be done 30th May 2024, between 15:00 – 18:00 at the latest! Extra hours will be charged 220โ‚ฌ / hour)
