Photonics4Forestry workshop

Location: Photonics Center, Joensuu, Finland

In conjunction with Forest and Photonics 2022, Photonics Finland is organising a “Photonics 4 Forestry” workshop to facilitate meetings and collaboration between the suppliers of photonics technologies, end-users in the forestry sector and researchers in both fields. It will be held in the newly opened Photonics Center in Joensuu, Finland.

This event is planned in the framework of the European Photonic Platform Photonics21 (www.photonics21.org) and of the H2020 project Bestphorm21. This event is also part of the Month of Photonics 2022.

Photonics4Foresty is addressed to:

  • Companies, experts and operators in the forestry sector (end-users)
  • Photonics manufacturers
  • Researchers in the area of forestry and the area of photonics
  • Investors and funding bodies
  • Everyone interested in both areas

What you can expect?

  • Talks by end-user and photonics experts on two topics: Forest Fires and Measurement of Trees
  • Hands-on innovation workshop in which we discuss possible solutions that photonics technology could provide to the challenges in the two topics
  • Networking and Matchmaking
