Brighterwave is developing novel laser light sources and projectors to virtual and augmented reality eyewear and biomedical imaging applications. We are now looking for an experienced and self-motivated optics expert to design, simulate, implement and test optical systems used in compact laser projector engines.

Position requires both expertise in designing advanced optical systems as well as direct hands-on experience. Knowledge of a broad range of optics including micro-optics, imaging, lens design and diffractive optics is appreciated, and experience in optical modeling tools such as Zemax and VirtualLab is required.

 Understanding of the properties of lasers and how to design optical projection systems around them is preferred. In addition, experience in the assembly and packaging of micro-optical systems is a plus.
