Optics and Photonics Days (OPD), organized by Photonics Finland, has grown into the largest yearly photonics event in the Nordic countries. Yearly it gathers the international photonics community in a different city in Finland. Next year, OPD2027 will be held in Espoo at the Dipoli venue 25. -27. May 2027.

OPD offers an unique opportunity to learn from interesting presentations from Academy and Industry program running in parallel. At OPD2027 additional parallel sessions for Academy are introduced! An integral part of the event is networking with companies, students and researchers in the field of photonics and optics, but also to explore products and services at OPD Exhibition that is held during the conference. Also there is a lot of additional activities such as Networking Dinner, Student meeting, Photonics Finland annual meeting, Panel discussions, Media event and also Poster- and Pitch sessions.

OPD2027 Industry themes
The industrial program is divided by thematics into 4 sessions. The Industry themes are again chosen for their relevance for both Finland and the broader international photonics research and industry:

- Photonics for Health & Life Sciences
- Photonics for Smart Industry & Manufacturing
- Photonics for Space & Security
Each session includes both oral presentations and poster presentations for which you may submit your abstract for review by the program committee and additional expert reviewers.
OPD2027 is organized in collaboration with Aalto University and Business Finland and the event is supported by European Optical Society and EPIC.
