Business Finland has launched its new Semiconductors & Photonics Growth Programme, designed to help Finnish companies strengthen their position in European value chains, build international partnerships, access EU opportunities, and accelerate growth through collaboration, pilot lines, and innovation ecosystems.
For the Finnish photonics community, this is a particularly significant milestone. Photonics Finland has worked for years to raise the visibility of photonics and advocate for its strategic importance. We have been actively involved in discussions leading up to the programme, helping ensure that photonics is recognized as a key growth area within Business Finland’s renewed strategic framework.
The programme opens new opportunities for ecosystem development, industry analysis, international visibility, networking activities, company delegations, and closer collaboration between Business Finland and the Finnish photonics sector. As a first concrete step, Business Finland will collaborate with Photonics Finland in the upcoming Photonics Finland industry survey. With many activities still taking shape, we see strong potential for the programme to create new value for the entire Finnish photonics ecosystem in the years ahead.
