Puhdastilatyöskentely on tärkeää valmistettavien tuotteiden kontaminaatioriskin hallitsemiseksi. Koulutuksessa käydään läpi ISO- ja GMP-määräysten mukaisten puhdastilojen perustiedot ja toimintamallit, puhdastilatyöskentelyn ja tuotantohygieenisten työtapojen ymmärtäminen sekä puhdastilaluokan vaatimusten mukainen pukeutuminen. Koulutus koostuu kolmesta osasta; puhdastiloissa toimiminen, vetokaappityöskentely ja kemikaalit ja optisten komponenttien puhtaus. Koulutus on osa Joensuun Fotoniikan koulutuspolku (JFK) -hanketta.
