The Laser World of Photonics, the world’s leading trade fair for photonics components, systems, and applications, once again proved its global significance by gathering industry leaders and innovators from around the world at Messe München.
The Exhibition week was busy and the event itself attracted 40 000 visitors from 70 countries and total 1300 exhibitors were showcasing their products and services.
During the first exhibition day Photonics Finland and Business Finland organized Finnish Midsummer Networking event which attracted a “full house” of visitors to have an interesting discussions and to network with the pavilion companies.
Once again Photonics Finland successfully organized a joint national pavilion together with 11 leading Finnish photonics companies joining under one strong brand. Participating companies included:

The pavilion offered a cost-effective, turnkey solution for exhibitors and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.
Survey Highlights:
- 100% of respondents said that joining the Photonics Finland Pavilion was useful for their company.
- The pavilion’s usability, size, and overall look received an average rating of 4.6/5.
- Service quality before and during the exhibition, including arrangements and communications, scored an excellent 4.8/5.
- The joint Photonics Finland & Business Finland Networking Event on June 24 also scored positively (average 3.8/5), being recognized as a valuable platform for building international connections.
- Most companies stated their top goal was to meet existing clients, attract new leads, and increase brand visibility — and they rated their success in meeting these goals at 4.6/5.
Participant comments praised the organization, support, and branding. Suggestions included having slightly larger meeting areas and more storage space, which will guide future improvements.
By gathering Finnish photonics excellence into one shared space, the pavilion amplified each company’s presence on the global stage, fostering collaboration, visibility, and new business opportunities.
