University of Jyväskylä

In University of Jyväskylä photonics research concentrates on the development of time variable laser methods (from nanoseconds to femtoseconds) and utilizing optical confocal and near-field microscopy. Research targets are nanostructures of coal, golden nanoparticles, light sensitive proteins, electron transfer processes in color sensible semiconductor particle coating, surface plasmon polaritons in tailored nano structures, imaging of cell movements and research of distribution in material surfaces.
